Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WMC app and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Purpose of the Service

The WMC app is provided to support the missions ministry and related events of our church, including communication between attendees, church staff, and missionaries.

2. Accounts and Access

To use certain features, you may need to create an account and sign in using a magic link sent to your email address. Your email address is used as your login identity and is not editable from the Profile page. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Profile Information

Within the app, you can maintain a profile that may include your name, photo URL, church, phone number, and social media links. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and appropriate for a church and missions context.

4. Information Sharing & Preferences

When you use the Service, we collect basic information such as your name, email address, and certain preferences. In order to support the purpose of the app, we may share your information with:

• Church staff and ministry leaders.
• Missionaries and missions partners connected to the conference/event.

This sharing is primarily for ministry and communication purposes (for example, allowing missionaries to follow up with you if you express interest in their ministry).

Your Profile includes specific settings that control how your information is shared:

• Directory opt-in: Controls whether your information appears in any attendee directory or similar listing within the app.
• Share email with ministries: Controls whether your email address may be shared with missionaries and ministries for follow-up.
• Share phone with ministries: Controls whether your phone number may be shared with missionaries and ministries for follow-up.

You may opt out of this sharing at any time by logging in and updating the checkboxes on your Profile page (Directory opt-in, Share email with ministries, Share phone with ministries).

5. Use of the Service

When using the Service, you agree that you will not:

• Use the app for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
• Upload or share content that is abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate.
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.

6. Content You Provide

You are responsible for any content you submit through the Service (such as feedback, messages, or profile information). By submitting content, you grant the church a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content in connection with the missions ministry and related activities.

7. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the church and its staff, volunteers, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
